10/8/2025 – Wednesday Words

Way before Dad moved downstairs for overnight sleeping, Mom moved the Colehaus Cats feeding center downstairs into the kitchen.* Before that, we gave the kitchen table and chairs away since one certain angel orange girl had decided the wooden legs and surface were always meant to be scratching posts. This freed up some space and the feeding center was a perfect fit. Just recently, Mom splurged and bought short legs for these cabinets to get them off the floor. She says it’ll help keep ants from the food bowls and be easier to end those visits.

The cats still have the Cat Den upstairs where the tower, all the toy baskets and bowls reside along with a big litter box, an extra water bowl and 3 heated beds on the window cabinets overlooking outside activities. It’s here Quint and Tessa usually spend their days while Viola naps downstairs on the other Mom splurge – a big scratcher.

Once Dad has his new downstairs bed settled in, it’s anyone’s guess who will take over that. Will we see multiple cats napping on the new bed? Will they snuggle? Will Tessa and Viola sleep together?

Well, let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves just yet.

*Editor: The fourth feeder in the lower left corner of the feeding center was Pia’s and has since been cleaned and re-boxed. Viola’s feeder was moved to that location and she likes that spot much better.
