09/29/2025 – Trouble finds Monday

Usually, when the weather starts its long slow slide into cooler fall temperatures, the Colehaus cats start snuggling into blankets and tower cubbie holes and the like. As if we’d expect her to suddenly, after 13 years, become like all other cats, Tessa makes up her own rules. She’s even more adventurous and that includes making the forbidden buffet (boo-fay) top her fall/winter domain.

In other troublesome news, Dad’s new mattress might be backordered, or it could come tomorrow. It might be lost or, in some other cat universe, being enjoyed by dozens of bed-lovin’ cats who are not the Colehaus Cats. We’ll know more this week. Or maybe not.

“Don’t you just hate troublesome things, Dad? So do I. So annoying and rude!”
