With the arrival of Dad’s downstairs bed coming very soon, Quint is both anxious and skeptical of its arrival. He’s tired of making his fleecy blanket fort on the floor.
“Mom, I am so over making my blanket fort on this cold floor.”
Not too much longer, sweet Quint. Next week, maybe. You can hang on one or two more weeks, can’t you?

“You do know that one or two more weeks is forever and day in cat time, right? How many times have I reminded you, Mom? Those are the rules. I don’t make them up. They simply . . . are.”
Well then, we guess it’ll have to seem like it’s forever. After Dad’s new bed arrives and you’ve made yourself comfortable, we’ll ask again how long forever is, in cat time.

“Taking a cat nap now. Don’t make it forever before you let me sleep.”
