Who’s Knocking?

We moved the kitties big Armarkat cat tower from the Cat Den into our bedroom where Maxx, Ruby, and Tessa stay 24/7. It’s only fair that these three get to enjoy the superior scratchy posts, the awesome 78 inch height, and cozy cubby hole which Ruby instantly claimed as her own. Only Quint, Pia, and Viola used the tower in the Cat Den, and only for scratching on. (With his extra long legs, Quint needs an extra long scratching post like the Armarkat tower has.) When we can afford it, we’ll get a second one and get rid of the old original short tower that is completely shredded, and frankly, has a “fragrant” air about it.

Ruby: I like this cubby hole. It’s Ruby-sized and I can always tell when someone comes knocking. Who is that?

Ruby: I can hear you sniffing all the way up here! What’s so good you need to sniff that loud?

Tessa: Smells like… I don’t know. Fresh, soft, carpet-y, good! I just might need to sniff every square inch of this tower!

  1. Loud sniffing can be quite distracting! MOL

  2. What good ears you have, Ruby.

  3. Looks like you’re getting company, Ruby. You scored with that cat tower. Their loss is your gain.

  4. We sniff after Carl has been around and the smell isn’t always good! Thank you for all your support on our Gotcha Day! You helped make it a real success!

  5. Tessa if you don’t stop sniffing you could end up visiting the vet in case you Mom and Dad think you’ve got a cold!!

With some of our antics lately, Mom is thinking some of us should be confined, but we try to separate ourselves as much as possible voluntarily. That’s a whole lot of sniffing from Tessa. We suspect this tree also has a “fragrant” air about it. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  9. Ruby you look mighty comfy in that hole. our humans are still putting pennies into a piggy bank for our very own cat condo 🙂

  11. That’s a huge tree! Our big tree is unfortunately starting to tilt so Mommy is trying to save it because the sisal is still in very good condition. Cosmo and Ling’s first ever super mini tree (if it can even be called a tree) is still around after 6 years because it’s still their favorite. 🙂

  12. What a great cat tower. I know you are really going to enjoy it in the new room too.

  13. Oh that looks like a great tree. Ruby, is that Tessa sniffing way too loud. Glad you found a great place to hang out. You all take care.

  14. Looks like a fun cat tree!

  15. That looks like a great cat tower! And what a wonderful way to make the room feel bigger — to the cats at least — by opening up the vertical space!

  16. Ruby, that cubby hole was made for you. 🙂
