Quint was expecting to go outside last Friday on his annual spring walk-about to sniff flowers for his painting inspiration. But Mom got too wrapped up in getting the backyard whipped into shape and forgot. On Saturday, she didn’t exactly “forget” about his walk, her excuse was the weekend errands took longer than originally thought and it was dusk before she realized it. Sunday was gray, cloudy, and just too chilly. Quint wasn’t having any of that.

Mom promised him she would take him outside for his spring walk next weekend, if the weather cooperates. Quint might be a bit skeptical about that promise.
