On extra cold nights, we run a thin water trickle from the kitchen faucet to guard against pipes freezing and Mom thought why not capture that water for use elsewhere? And since we know how much Viola likes to get to the bottom of things, that meant Mom needed to watch to make sure The Squirt didn’t end up going for a swim.

In the end, Mom ended up pouring the water into our big backyard fountain because the bucket had cat fur in it. How that ever happened is a mystery.

  1. We had to laugh at Viola playing with the water in the sink – maybe she just likes the sound of it dripping!

Great idea to catch and reuse the water! Funny how some cats dearly love playing with water. That isn’t to say they’d like a bath, though!

  3. Rene S says:

We think Lucy would love a faucet with dripping water, but we are not going down that road, if you know what I mean.

Viola is enjoying playing with the water. Eric was fascinated by water too. He would even get in the bath if one of us was in it. I had to grab a towel because he would lie on me making biscuits.
