I heard something the other day. Someone hinted that someone didn’t like someone else and that was why someone sometimes did things that were not acceptable.

Wonder who that might be? Why would anyone say such things? Gosh, I hope it wasn’t me that someone was talking about! I like everyone! Just ask anyone!

*squeak mumble mumble squeak squeak*

What’s that, purple mousie? Zuzu? Otherwise known as the creature that makes my blood boil? How could I ever forget that little thing?

It’s not like she annoys me or anything…

Tessa, a.k.a. Danger Cat, likes everyone. Okay, to say ‘likes everyone’ might be stretching the truth a wee bit. She chases Ruby like one would a fuzzy toy, she barely tolerates the Squirt Viola, and she has growling contests with sweet Miss Newton at one in the morning. Nothing we all can’t live with. Ruby has even started staring her down from time to time, nipping chase-time almost completely in the bud. Living with Tessa in the big master bedroom isn’t all bad. It’s actually nice most of the time.

But let Tessa out of the big bedroom and boy, oh boy! Zuzu, Patrol Sergeant Zuzu to you and I, gets under Tessa’s skin. They live in separate parts of the house and so, hardly ever interact. But upon occasion… well, just use your imagination when two opposite, yet strong personalities meet. Add growling. Add yowling. Add other unmentionable things. The strict enforcement officer versus Danger Cat. It’s like every 1950’s teenage angst song ever written!

  1. Toby & Leia says:

    Oh wow! That sounds epic.

  2. Every cat must maintain their territory in their own way, I guess. Angel and Chuck, although together even in the womb, avoid each other, and only once in awhile will sit next to one another. Hostilities only show up when they are trying to get out attention…read, FEED US! But no snuggling together, no play, barely any interaction. Puzzling.

  3. This simply must be made into a movie, with tons of sequels

  4. The Enforcer versus Danger Cat….got to be movie there. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  8. Kitties Blue says:

It totally sounds like the interactions at our house; though, we don’t try to segregate anybody. Astrid has self-segregated herself by staying downstairs at night and rarely going on the Catio. She is standing up for herself a bit better now. At 15, Lily has finally learned to ignore the others when they try to pick on her. It’s always fun times when you have so many different purrsonalities trying to live together. Ho, ho, ho, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  9. That looks like a move scenario ! Purrs

  10. Summer says:

Kitty relationships can be so complicated! I’m glad I get along with everyone here, even if Binga is a bit on the temperamental side.

  11. meowmeowmans says:

Now THAT sounds like a situation we’d like to avoid whenever possible!

  12. That really does sound epic. It must be quite a management job to keep everybody separate.

  13. MOL! We all seem to get along here – me and Crockett are always together.

  14. William says:

Well. There’s two in every crowd, isn’t there?

  15. Allie: oh girlfriend i completely sympathize! I have a “Zuzu” over here, myself! *glares at Faraday*

  16. That sounds like me and Zoey. We are usually separated, but when we see each other…it’s WWIII! 🙂

  17. Hmmm… INTERESTIN’… At my house, we have a Tess. That sister Tess of mine is always growlin’ at one one of us. She has even been known to growl at the peeps!

    Purrs,
    Nissy

  18. Katie Isabella says:
