As it turns out, Quint likes the Niblets! We think he’s going to be a wonderful, playful Uncle to Illy, Viola, Robbie and Russell. But while he’s waiting for them to grow big enough to play with, he’s been painting. And we wouldn’t be telling the whole truth if we didn’t mention that sales of his art will certainly help pay for the Niblets’ upcoming vet checkups, first shots and spays/neuters (not to mention Erinn Zuzu’s spay too because the Niblets are definitely her last litter).

Last month Quint created his Touch of Autumn 2013 series that some of you are hopefully enjoying. Quint likes working with different colors and you know how much he loves the color yellow. Good thing Autumn includes yellow leaves which he dabbed on with a light paw on each painting.

And you know he loves oranges and greens. Autumn is a great painting time of year for him and we think he did a good job.

Next, prompted by Oui Oui’s Mom, and help from Mr. Mousie number 197, Quint tackled creating a dark version of his Masters-Inspired Starry Night 8×10 acrylic. This is a heavy art paper version of his Starry Night on 4×4 canvas and the dark twin to the lighter version of the same 8×10 size.

Why, thank you, Savannah! I just dip my paw in the bowl; sometimes mom helps me get the right color, and then I tap the paper. The paint only gets on the bottom of my paw, sometimes on both and maybe a little on one back foot but I don’t mind much when mom washes it off. Wet paws just go with the territory, I guess!

We have been having blogger issues, and we had problems leaving comments with you, but we are trying again (we noticed our comments from the other day finally showed up). Quint is really an amazing artist and we love how he hung “Starry Night” to inspire him! We found the purrfect mats, and are looking for the purrfect frames for his art.
Wubbikins REALLY loves her “Starry Night” that we ordered from Quint a few months ago. It is beautiful and Quint is very talented. He and our Wubbikins are the same age and I think she has a bit of a crush on him! Just don’t tell Waffles!

Yippee for Pet Parade pinning! Quint has never really minded wet paws too much so paint or the cleaning off of paint from them hasn’t been much of a problem. He has large paws so maybe he just figures big paws are bound to get wet one way or the other?
