Today is called Black Friday for some reason and that’s why I’m here. This is Mom’s chair. Usually. Today, it’s my chair because Mom is playing with some stringy light things outside where I’m told the air is not black but very cold. I’m not a cold weather girl. Panthers like to be warm, that is, when we’re not hot and you tell me… when is a house panther not a hot item? Never!

Anyhoo, since I’m in charge today, I’ll be taking questions and maybe even giving answers. Having all this power is pretty busy business. Why, I might need a few more naps just to get through the afternoon!

Olivia, glad to see you are in charge today while your mom is busy. We all know black cats are super responsible. And it is cold! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Please stop by our Thanksgiving post. We’ve passed a couple awards along to you. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  2. Hooray for black cat Friday! The peeps keep leaving out a word when they say it. It’s so hard to find good help.

  3. Terri says:

We love a hot house panther! You’re certainly in the power seat, too. Us mancats love strong ladycats. Mee-yoww!

  7. A lovely throne of power. I like how it’s nice and wide so you can lounge without fear of falling off.

  8. Sparkle says:

    Happy Black Cat Friday, Olivia!

  9. Olivia, I’m with you! A house panther needs to be warm. My favorite spot is right next to the hot air blowing thingy. I hope you don’t have to give up your seat of power. It looks great with you there.

  10. Questions, huh? OK, here’s one: How do you keep your lovely noir coat so shiny?

    • colehauscats says:

Well, I’m a firm believer in early morning baths, the kind that runs from head to toe. After greeting my people when they get up and having a light breakfast, I do a little touch up because inevitably someone pets me and misplaces my furs. After a long afternoon nap, I bathe for dinner, again head to toe because a girl’s gotta look good. Before bed, I enjoy thorough nightly brushies from dad and he doesn’t do too bad of a job at it. Most of the time, I don’t have to fix a hair! Rinse and repeat every day! Thanks for asking!

    I like Black Friday, too.

Thank you so much for your kind words about Russell. My mom found it very sweet and comforting.

olivia; my question please is why did the price of emeralds drop so sharply during the third quarter; while it seems the price of gold and sapphires held steady.. I would like to make a stock purchase but I’m rather leery of doing so now…hugs girl from dai$y =^..*=

    • colehauscats says:

Oh, emeralds! Such a manipulated market, second only to diamonds… and most big tech stocks, in my opinion. Of course, they say buy low, sell high. The hard part is trying to figure out where the bottom is, and then living with the consequences. My advice is to buy and then hold for the long term. Short term stuff like oil might be a better bet in late spring. Trying to time the market is maddening, don’t you think?
