We’d like to give a Rainbow Bridge shout-out to our neighbor’s little chow mix dog who fought a long and tremendously strong battle with cancer but lost late Monday. We’ll miss you, sweet Lucy, and your golden, shaggy coat, and your one floppy ear. Run free. Run free and play hard.

We too suffered a tragic loss here. Talliah’s doggy sister Sophie crossed the bridge last week. She inhaled a grass seed that lodged in her lung. It then migrated gradually to her lower spine and paralyzed her hing legs. There was nothing left to do at that point but help her pass over and end her terrible suffering. She and Tally were nearly inseparable as Sophie had been raised by another long gone kitty girl of ours and was more cat in her soul than dog. The pain here is epic and everyone, including Talliah, is in deep grief.
