Heard you were in the dog house? That anything like being in the oatmeal box?

Danger cat Tessa is out and about in the rest of the house again (after being grounded for six weeks for an attitude adjustment). She’s getting along with everyone once again just fine, like before she turned into a difficult, sullen teenager. Or maybe it was a midlife crisis. She is five years old now. Only Olivia seems to have held a grunge against all those chases and fights Tessa put her through and now, Mom is breaking up growl-fests between those two.

And Tessa wants to sleep back in the master bedroom each night where she was grounded to and seemingly wanted nothing but to be LET OUT!

And here we thought the ginger girls were the divas of Colehaus…

I think it’s female cats who are the divas. Sadie certainly is one! Hope things stay on an even keel….

  2. Poor Tessa, my Mom can relate cause she gets like that too MOL. Love, Cody. Love the oatmeal photo too, “Nothing is better for THEE than ME!!”

  3. tessa….pleez ree mind yur mom… if ewe were knot forced ta eat bass terd turkee…. ya woodna haz cat a tood….ya noe !! 😉

    ♥♥♥

  4. Nice oatmeal container pet shelter. Maybe you should go into production. A million dollar idea every day! Who can figure out the mind of a cat? There is no answer.

  5. Hehehehe. CATS! The second they’re trapped somewhere … they have to get out … only to beg to be let back in. Years ago, I accidentally closed Bear Cat in the pantry (I didn’t realize he was in there and I closed the door before I left for class). USUALLY, when he’s trapped in a small space, every one in the state knows about it … but for some reason, he’s cool with the pantry. It wasn’t until I came home from class and called to him that I heard a faint mew. I let him out and re-shut the door … next thing I know, he’s howling to go back in the pantry. Complete weirdo. Any other room? His carrier? MUST GET OUT ASAP. But he’s okay with hanging out in the pantry for hours … just sitting there. And gosh forbid I leave the door open! Nope. He wants his privacy. The last couple years, he hasn’t had the opportunity to go in there because the floor is being used as storage (to prevent him from hanging out in there which weirds me out)!

With a large kitty family, you never know what’s going to happen! Sometimes personality conflicts just pop up. I hope everyone gets back to behaving well.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lots of girls in one spot kinda like too many teen gals sharing a bathroom. There is bound to be a ‘cat fight’!

I sure hope the All Is Calm sticks around this time!

  9. at least she knows what she wants – MOL Hopefully her brief vacation continues to make a difference

  10. Katie Isabella says:

Oh my….my my myyyy! Mom smiled a little but she was quick to mention to me that she doesn’t have to go through that drama…so that wiped the smile partially off her face.

  11. Tessa, you better be on your best behavior or you’ll end up being grounded again. And that’s no fun.

  12. 15andmeowing says:

I am glad Tessa is being good again.

  13. Just Ducky says:

Glad Tessa gets to hang out with the rest of the gang again.

  14. Cathy Keisha says:

Yep, we tuxies are bad MFs. Heh heh.

  15. They don’t call it tuxitude for nothing but no behavioral change happens randomly. There is always a reason. A vet visit may overlook something. If a medical reason is ruled out, there could be territorial issues with the others cats or animal outdoors but it’s always something. Six weeks is a long time out and requires gradual supervised introductions to the others.Have you tried Feliway? The plugin-in might be worth it and let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your comment! We do think Tessa attitude is a territorial issue combined with a bit of alpha cat reordering. She was the top cat for four years before Sunny came along last year. Sunny isn’t territorial but she does have an “I don’t care about little old you” attitude that Tessa isn’t fond of in the least. Tessa just isn’t used to a cat that doesn’t run when being chased, and Sunny stands her ground and looks thoroughly bored. We do use Feliway in the master bedroom where both Tessa and Sunny spent six weeks of nights together and that seemed to have done the trick. Tessa is back to her usual Danger Cat self, for the most part, and Sunny is still just as bored as ever with her.

  16. Hope ya keep bein good Tessa!

  17. We’re glad Tessa can join the rest of the family again. Purrs

  18. But Tessa looks so sweet!?!

  19. I bet she’s so glad to not be grounded anymore!

I am glad things are back to normal with Tessa and all is calm again.
