02/05/2018 – Our Weekend

We watched a lot of TV over the weekend, meaning anything other than sports TV that nearly everyone else watched. We didn’t know we had a free week of Animal Planet until almost the last minute so Mom and Dad got to watch the Puppy Bowl for the second time ever. We don’t normally have the Animal Planet channel. We cats couldn’t care less, to be honest. We already have enough yappy puppies living near us and we have to hear them Every. Single. Morning. So we were napping, and it was everything we’d hoped it would be.

Our Dad likes some of the weekend Public Broadcasting cooking shows, our Mom likes gardening shows but there’s not too many of those around anymore. Mom says people don’t have time or the desire to garden, or something like that. We think we might like gardening if it includes bird and squirrel catching.

We’re not sure we’d like cooking, unless turkey and cheese was involved and though our Dad would probably like working with kale like the people in this show were, he wouldn’t cook it to “a wilty death” as so many cooking show people do. We’re meat eaters. Our Dad can have all the kale. That’s a good deal in our opinions.

When our Mom’s not been caulking and repainting all the baseboards in our house (to get a jump on preventing ants from visiting like they did for the first time ever last year – she says ants aren’t toys), she’s been fiddling with our blog here. Updating our blog subscription service that you might want to re-subscribe to (thanks for the heads-up, da Tabbies! Now if we could only get it to work right!) and rearranging links and *sigh* de-cluttering, she says. Mom and her de-cluttering! She’s been on this kick for the last couple of years. So far, none of our toys have been de-cluttered. Thank Cod!

We and Dad like clutter, but Mom’s in charge of the house décor so, sadly, there’s not enough stuff sitting around for us to fuzz up with our furs. Ditto for our blog. If you noticed, we only have one sidebar to get fur on now. Clearly, we need to organize a campaign to return the status of clutter to the highest position possible. And then, we need to fur all that clutter up. Clearly.

We’ll get right on that. And while we learn how to pull out boxes of packed away décor from closets, we’ll work in shifts to make sure we’re well represented via fur in all Mom’s caulk and paint. Seem fair, right? It’s our house, too!

We don’t watch sports here either and we do like clutter MOL! Hey, Sadie is in Greenville, SC and I’ve updated the post with that info.

  2. Loulou says:

Oh, you two devils–fur in the paint, oh, my!! But I know you’ll help even more by using your tales to help caulk, right?

  3. Edie Chase says:

Ants make great toys, they move by themselves and don’t require batteries. Luckily for our house, we all like clutter and fur in or on on everything. 😉

  4. Hah!! Dad P and Mom L don’t do clutter either. Heck I haven’t had tissue paper in a year!!

  5. Katie Isabella says:

Totally right! I like clutter and lately mommy has been layin’ down the scatter rugs like she was being paid to. Something about my thick black furs imbedded in the pale carpeting and my horking messes too…so after she got the caret cleaned, she is laying a buncha rugs which she hates seeing, in my favorite laying down spots to help with the black furs situation despite her every day vacuuming.

  6. Rene S says:

We have waaaay too much clutter from hubby. But he loves cats so we forgive him. LOL

  7. We think we Felines should be consulted more often about impawtant household matters.

  8. Madi and Mom says:

Ohhhh my dad likes cooking shows too. He can’t cook but mom says he is an excellent assistant.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  9. We don’t watch sports, either. But we did watch the half time show. Since we don’t have cable anymore we missed the Kitten Bowl.

  10. da tabbies o trout towne says:

guyz…ree reed thiz post….therz a lotta “choice” werdz in heer that
    R……well……ewe noe ~~~~~ 🙂 ♥♥

  11. Yeah, da hoomans can keep da kale.

  12. The Hubby made a really yummy salad from cauliflower and kale…excellent! We put all of the cat toys away in a box, then Manny and Chili Bruce raid the box and stuff gets all over the floor again. Guess it’s one way of burning some calories!

  13. We watched sports…well, our humans did. We mostly napped all weekend.

  14. We watched both the Puppy and Kitten Bowls, but not the human game. It’s all about NASCAR at our house which can start up again now that football is finally over!

  15. 15andmeowing says:

Your mom has been busy. I started off the year decluttering, but have slacked off.

  16. Summer says:

My human would love to have someone declutter her house… she seems incapable of doing it herself! She always has “something else” to do…

  17. Just Ducky says:

Mum watched the game, today she caught up on stuff she recorded. Still has a few things to get through that she recorded.

  18. You two can cook for us any time! We like chicken … and fish … and more fish … and did we already say FISH?! Momma’s working on the de-cluttering around here too!

  19. Mom did not watch the super bowl either; she was glued to the kitten bowl.

  20. Mark's Mews says:

We dint watch the sports event either. Or Puppy Bowl. TBT put on our Cat-Sitter CD and werked in the basement.

We were all happy. Ayla tried to grab the birdies.
