Our favorite Miss Newton pose – legs straight back, belly down, toesies up. She’s the only one who occasionally lays this way. A vet once told us Miss Newton might have a hip issue later in life; dysplasia, and to watch for any discomfort. She’s only four years old and so far, so good. And so cute!
Note: Remember these toes. There might be a quiz later.

I certainly hope the vet is dead wrong about Miss Newton’s hips! However, that is an adorable pose…I would have a hard time keeping my meathooks off of those jelly beans in back!

Nope, the vet didn’t say. We’ve read it might be a heredity thing or an injury during birth. When Miss Newton walks, she does tend to swing her hips around more than everyone else. She also likes to run more than everyone else so maybe she’s showing off those great hips of hers!

My human does this pose when she’s doing yoga sometimes. Only without the tail part.

We love this pose! There is a kitty in the Cat Blogosphere by the name of Monty Q (he hasn’t been blogging lately) who would lay like this all the time. He called it “Doing the Q”. We used to have a contest in the Cat Blogosphere where we would post our pictures doing the Q, or if you didn’t lay like that, then doing a Full Monty (you know what that is!). We would vote on who did the best Q and the best Full Monty. It was a lot of fun.

She is adorable. Ralphie used to lie like that too and I was told the same. Fingers crossed we don’t have problems with them as they get older.
