01/03/2018 – A Wednesday Smile

Who knew squirrels could smile? And all it took was replacing the old nut feeder with a new one. And, of course, nuts. Lots and lots of nuts. Good thing we have a big bucket full safely tucked away, but don’t tell him that!

Good thoughts are requested for Mac today as he goes in for his big snip, albeit, a bit earlier than originally planned. We’re guessing all this time spent learning to be an indoor boy has gotten his hormones fired up and he showed an unfortunate mean streak the other day by going after the family’s gentle, 70+pound dog. We’re sending everyone over there purrs and hugs and we thank you again, Friends of Colehaus, for your generous donations toward making Mac’s neuter and vet bills manageable.

  1. Ah, learning pains. Mac, we hope your snip goes well, and reduces that tendency to go after the big woofie. We know adjustments like this can be hard, but we have faith in you, big guy.

  2. Rene S says:

Good luck, Mac. You will be a much happier boy once this is taken care of, trust us.

  3. Oh dear, Mac! Remember that woofies are your friends when you are inside.

  13. Mac, we know you’re probably still a little confused, but you must not beat up on the doggie. We have doggie neighbors and we play with them by running along the fence. Of course we don’t do that in the winter, but we do look outside and see them romping in the snow. Doggies can be lots of fun. We’re sure you have bad memories from bad experiences somewhere in your cathood. We just pray you will quickly recover and be the purring, loving, lap cat we all know you are.

I hope Mac is up an running around again in no time after his visit with the V-E-T. Wishing you grr-eat things in 2018!

We got lots of smiley squirrels here ’cause our dad feeds them 365 days a year. Well, he’s actually feeding the birds, but you know squirrels are. This is a great photo. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
